Introduction
I am man on mission, day in and day out I’m searching for my purpose on this wonderful earth. I love spending time with my friends and family creating valuable relationships that will last a life time. I really enjoy being outdoors hunting and fishing, it is very peaceful listening to the trees blow back and fourth and the water ripple. Some of the most important people in my life I have met through the sport of wrestling and for that I am truly thankful, this sport has taught me life lessons like nothing else.My dog Archie is my true companion any time im feeling down or stressed out I can look to him for a good laugh, he is one goofy dog and I really enjoy him. One of the most influential men in my life is Wayne Martin, hes is a figure in the state of virginia as an educator and a mentor. Myfamily means the world to me, my brother has been by my side through thick and thin and the ups and downs. He keeps me level head and motivated every day with his relentless feed back in every aspect of my life. In the future I look foward to starting my own real estate company,I plan on building, investing, and flipping through constant networking
Facet One
The sport of wrestling is a huge part of my life, we have a love hate relationship. It has taught me that nothing in life is given but everything in life is learned through hard work, discipline and determination. I have taken many wins and many losses but the losses are much more influential in life you see if your always winning you wont be able to correct your mistakes the same way you would if you endure painful losses. My senior year of high school i had a great year won a ton of matches and worked extremely hard so I thought. I endured a loss that taught me so many lessons, in the state semi finals I lost to some one who I was superior to because I did not maintain my own composure. In life the winner is not the one who hits the hardest but the individual who gets hit the hardest and still stands up. I have met some amazing individuals in this sport including Killian cardinale who is on the left in this picture. He is a world class competitor who wrestled here at Old dominion until the program was shut down in 2020. He taught me how to battle adversity, he found a new home out in West Virginia after the program was cut. he then wrestled and gained All American status with multiple gruling injuries because he is determined to fulfill his passion.
Facet Two
I have had a love of dogs my entire life, since birth my family has had atleast two dogs at all times. I love the way dogs are there whether you emotion is good or bad. I have been fortunet to have some very special dogs with great personalities, most recently my favorite dog Archie. He is a character from his unorthodox eating habits to his tug of war, he keeps you on your feet and he is a terorrist. he loves my affection but when I turn my back I can pretty much gaurentee he is getting into something he should not be doing. Even though he may be troubled I love his stubborn personality because he is almost like a dog version of me. He never fails to bring a smile to my face from sunrise to sunset I can always look to him for support. Having something that can take the stress off of life is important because when life gets tough a quick look at Archie will do the trick.
Facet Three
This is probaly one of the most influncial men in my life the great Wayne Martin. He has impacted many lives as a educator and a coach, he was there for me all through high school demonstrating what it is like to be a good person on and off the mat. He comes from a family filled with legacy and used the same methods his father Billy Martin used to build champions. He has been there for me through many of the toughest times pushing me to grow as an individual while maintaing the same class that he had for so long. I remember a time when he put me through a very high intensity work out and I struggled but he continued to push me, he knew it was hard but he always says touhness is just another way to build character. He has gained many awards over the years stemming from his continous demonstartion of exellence in the sport of wrestling and for being an amazing coworker in the education system for over 40 years. He is the definition of dedicated an his passion for the sport of wrestling is unmatched, in my opinion if someone is willing to give their life for something that is special. That means that every single day you can count on them to give their very best because in their mind they can give nothing less. to this day I can go to this man for all kinds of advice and I know he is a high caliber individual.
Facet Four
family is weird because unlike your friends you dont choose them you are born into them. I am very greatful to have a family thats supports me through all my endeavors, even if they seem wild or crazy. My brother who is also my twin is one my my biggest critics. People may look at that as a bad thing but not me, I love it he gives me honest feedback that is needed to grow as a person. WIthout the constant feed back I do not know where I would be today because he knows me better than anyone else. My father is anothe person I look up to because he is one of that hardest working people I have ever met. Every single day he goes to work whether hes sick ,tired or simply wants a day off because thats the work ethic it takes to be the best in your field. My mothe is one of the most caring individuals even though sometimes we think she cares a little to much. She wants the best for me and that's the inspiring to say the least. I love spending time with my cousins in my free time because we are close in age and have spent a lot of time together over the years. Having a loving family is the key foundation to life that makes it a hell of alot easier to navigate.
